NECK DEEP - A PART OF ME
Now all I can do is lay in my room,
Fall asleep, dream of you,
Then wake up and do nothing about it
I’ll still sing for you. (I hope you’ll listen)
Don’t call him a hero when he can’t save himself. He may have caught you on your way down, but he doesn’t recall ever hitting the ground.
Don’t call him an angel when he can’t forget hell. You think you see wings, but you just don’t know horns well.
Don’t call him a doctor when he can’t treat himself. He may have healed your wounds (what with all of your pleading), but you mustn’t forget that his are still bleeding.
Don’t call him strong whilst he’s clinging to the edge. His arms may seem able, but his legs are not stable.
Don’t call him put together whilst he’s falling apart. You wouldn’t want to clean up that mess of a heart.
